그림책을 활용한 유아 정서능력 향상 프로그램 개발 및 효과 = The Development and Evaluation of an Emotional Competence Program Using Picture Books

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아교육의 교수학습 방법과 매체로서의 가치가 인정되고 있는 그림책을 활용하여 유아의 정서능력을 향상시킬 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하고, 개발된 프로그램을 적용함으로써 그 효과를 검증하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 정서능력 관련 이론 고찰, 현행 유치원 교육과정과 유치원 활동 지도 자료집 분석, 정서관련 그림책 분석 및 정서교육에 대한 유치원 교사의 인식 조사를 토대로 하석 유아 정서능력 향상 프로그램을 구성하였고, 개발한 프로그램을 만 5세 유아를 대상으로 10주간 적용한 후 효과검증을 하였다. 그 결과 그림책을 활용한 유아 정서 능력 향상 프로그램은 유아의 정서능력 하위요인인 자기정서인식, 타인정서인식, 정서어휘, 감정이입, 정서표현 및 정서조절 모두에 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다.

This study develops and evaluates an emotional competence program using picture books. This program is for five-year-old children in kindergartens, and focuses on the integrated activities with picture books which have emotion related statements. The program is integrated into the daily activities in accord with themes of kindergarten curriculum. The components of emotional competence are self-emotion recognition, recognition of emotion in others, emotion vocabulary, empathy, emotional expression and emotional regulation. The result reported in this study finds the program to be effective in improving young children's emotional competence.
