살풀이 춤의 미적 탐색 = Aesthetic Exploration on Salpuli-Dance

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of the study is to find out background of thought implied in Salpuli-Dance, analyze aesthetic characteristics and principle of movement displayed in the dance, and investigate aesthetic factors in it.
First, since the Salpuli-Dance is based on the thought conceptions of Three Existence and the Negative and Positive, the dance movement reflects traditional thoughts and highlights the philosophy of dance and aesthetic value as well as movement of dance.
Second, for the principle of movement, the Three Existence conception can be found in 3 factors of breathing-keeping, drawing, and releasing, "three forward and backward movement" and "three large and small movement," while the negative and positive conception can be found in the flow of dance in a curve, cloth movement in the Great Absolute, and footsteps in a circle.
Third, dance movement expresses natural beauty and gracefulness through breathing, moderation controlling inner emotional feelings and overall female attractiveness.
In conclusion, in order to properly inherit and develop Salpuri-Dance which is based on Korean traditional thoughts and includes all aesthetics of Korea Traditional Dances, we should study more about inner factors such as conceptual principles implied in Salpuli-Dance and aesthetic characteristics of movement as well as outer appearance beauty. This is the one way we can sustain, preserve and properly inherit our tradition.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 살풀이춤 속에 내포되어 있는 사상적(철학적) 배경을 살펴보고, 그 춤 속에서 드러나는 움직임의 미적 특성과 원리를 분석하고 미적 요소를 살펴보고자 한다.
첫째, 살풀이춤의 사상적 배경은 삼재사상과 음양사상이 바탕을 이루면서, 춤사위는 단순한 움직임이 아닌 전통적 사상이 내재되어 춤의 철학과 미적 가치를 더욱 부각시켜준다.
둘째, 움직임의 원리에 있어서 삼재사상은 맺고 어르고 푸는 3요소와 삼진삼퇴, 대삼소삼(大三小三) 등에서 찾아볼 수 있으며, 음양사상은 춤의 흐름이 곡선으로 행해지고, 천은 항상 태극을 그리며, 발디딤도 원형을 그리며 움직이는데서 찾아 볼 수 있다.
셋째, 춤사위는 호흡을 통해서 자연스럽게 행해지는 자연미와 우아미, 내면에서 솟아오르는 감정을 다스리는 절제미와 춤 전반에서 보여 지는 여성적인 교태미에 있다.
따라서 한국의 전통사상을 기저로 한국 춤의 미학을 모두 포함하고 있는 살풀이춤을 올바르게 계승 발전시키기 위해서는 외현적인 윤곽미에 대한 연구 외에 내면적인 요소, 즉 춤 속에 내포된 사상적 원리와 움직임의 미학적 특성에 더 많은 연구가 이루어져야 할 것이다. 이것만이 우리의 전통성을 살리고 보존하며 바르게 계승할 수 있는 길일 것이다.
