유치원 교사들의 과학불안과 과학불안 요인 = An Investigation of Science Anxiety of Kindergarten Teachers

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to describe how the science anxiety and cause of science anxiety are related to the background variables(career, education background, age) of kindergarten teachers. The subjects of this study were 471 kindergarten teachers working in metropolitan area. The instrument for the science anxiety was STAI developed by Spielberger(1970), amended for preservice elementary school yeacher by Westerback(1990), and modified for science situation of preservice elementary school teacher by Taehyong Kim(1998), Miyang Bae(2001), and Bokyung Park(2003). The instrument for thecause of science was FSAI developed by Taehyong Kim(1998). The results of this study are as follows; 1. In general, the results showed that trait anxiety was higher than state anxiety of specific character. But there was no significant difference in the science anxiety of kindergarten teacher in connection with background variables. 2. A chief causes of science anxiety were the worry about preparing of materials for each domain, knowledge of science, teaching about scientific investigation, experimental studying, question strategy, evaluation of the scientific knowledge, and evaluation by child`s journal.
