다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper investigate into `audience` that influence deeply on the writing processes and results. Although audience is regarded as an important factor in writing process, it is not made studies till now by composition researchers and educators. Therefore, this paper investigate the viewpoints of audience in composition theory, and debate the occupation heavy place of audience in composition education by Korean Language Curriculum. As a result, this paper`s findings are follows. The first, in composition theory, audience is appreciated as a principal factor and is occupied critical place. The second, the concept of audience in modern composition theory is transformed individual to social domain, so called discours community. The third, in composition education, audience is recognized as a core factor in writing processes and results as like composition theory. The fourth, to contrast with composition theory, the treatment of audience in composition education is suspended with individual domain. At the same territory, the social domain of audience(as discourse community) is not reflected.
