문법의 목표와 국어 지식 교육 = On the Goals of a Grammar and the Knowledge of Korean Language

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

In this paper I aim to analyze the cause of problem taken up in the education of korean grammar, and make an alternative plan. In the education of korean grammar, the ultimate cause comes from indefinite notions and goals of a grammar. Notions of a grammar can be classified into two large groups: a grammar as the science of language and a grammar as the art of language. And the science of language can be classified into two groups: a grammar for a explanation about a language and a grammar for a description about human`s linguistic competence. The above classification is possible by the goals of the study of a grammar. In Korean Language Education, if you would try to be reconciled with the knowledge of korean language and the faculty of performance of language, you must understand clearly about the notions and goals of a grammar. Besides, the manner of description needs to be renewed according to the goals of a grammar. As a frist step to present a blue print for the future, I took Chung ·Ahn(1957) and Radford(1997) as an example.
