The purpose of this study was to investigate the teachers' work satisfaction related with their stress and the differences in their work satisfaction by demographic variables. Subjects of this study were 228 CCC teachers in Chungnam province. They responded to 'teachers' work satisfaction scale' and 'teachers' work stress scale'. They were under 30 years old(76.7%); unmarried(68.4%) took less than 1 million won(84.7%) monthly; were less than 2 years(47.7%) in child care career; and under junior college graduation(89.4%); served in social welfare corporation and private CCC(86.8%). The collected data were analyzed by one-way ANOVA, Pearson's partial correlation, multiple regression, Scheffe test for post hoc test, and Cronbach α for internal consistency by SPSS PC program(10.0 version). The results were as follows; first there were significant differences in type of organizations, present status, teacher's age, academic status, children's total number per a children's class, their office-going hour, total working hours per a day, and marriage state. Second, the partial correlation coefficient was -.261∼-.587 in relation of teachers' work satisfaction and work stress. Finally, teachers' work stress explained about 48% for total score of work satisfaction and 5∼40% for subscales of it.
