CVM을 이용한 체험관광의 가치평가

Considering increased interest in experiential tourism, the purpose of this paper is to valuate experiential tourism, using a dichotomous choice contingent valuation method. For this end, an intercept survey with self-administered questionnaire was conducted for domestic people in major metropolitan cities and provinces. The results of logit model indicated that willingness-to-pay was the most important variable in explaining participating probability of experiential tourism, followed by income and education. The empirical results showed that the economic value of experiential tourism was estimated to be 175,000 won per person based on a truncated willingness-to-pay method. The findings also indicated that the economic value of experiential tourism was substantially greater than its travel cost, implying greater economic benefit to experiential tourists. The results of this study will be used for segmenting experiential tourism market and forecasting the magnitude of experiential tourism in the future.
