유아의 사회적 능력 개념에 관한 고찰 = Review of children's social competence

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 유아의 사회적 능력에 대한 문헌들을 고찰해 봄으로써, 유아교육에서의 사회적 능력을 개념화하는데 그 목적을 두었다. 지난 30년 동안, 사회적 능력의 개념은 각 사회의 문화, 가치, 맥락에 따라 그리고 학문분야에 따라 다양하게 정의되어 왔다. 최근에, 유아의 사회적 능력이 학업 능력 및 이후 삶에 결정적인 영향을 준다는 연구들이 증가하면서 유아교육에서 사회적 능력은 중요한 요소로 인식되고 있다. 이에 문헌 고찰을 토대로 유아의 사회적 능력을 자기 조절력, 사회 인지, 대인관계 맥락 측면에서 논의하였다. 그리고 유아의 사회적 능력에 관한 연구에서 사용된 사회적 능력 측정 도구의 구인들을 분석하였다. 결론부분에서는 유아교육에서 사회적 능력을 개념화할 때 고려해야 할 몇 가지 제안점을 제시하였다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study is to conceptualize social competences in early childhood education, by reviewing researches about social competences of children.
During the past 30 years, social competences has been defined in many ways depending on the society's culture, value, and the field of study. Recently more and more researches show that social competences has a grave impact on learning activities and life thereafter, and therefore social competence is becoming an important part of early childhood education. In doing so, children's social competences discussed in terms of self-regulation, social cognition and relationships with the regard to these references.
Also, the tools used to measure social competence are analyzed. In the conclusion part, it propose some facts that need to be considered when conceptualizing social competence in early childhood education.
