유치원의 교육기간에 따른 유아의 정서지능과 창의성의 관계에 대한 연구 = A Study on the Relationship between Kindergarteners` Emotional Intelligence and Creativity through the Educational Period in Kindergarten

The purpose of this study was to find out how much the kindergarteners’ educational period and their gender influence their creativity and emotional intelligence, and how much correlations between their creativity and emotional intelligence exist. The subjects in this study were the children who had never entered any other educational institution before entering the kindergarten which this study was carried out. They were divided into two groups; one was the group that was in the kindergarten for a year, and the other for two years. The subjects were 154 children. The first group(one year) consisted in 76(boys 32 ; girls 44), the second 78(boys 42 ; girls 36). The results were as follows ; 1. The educational period in kindergarten had no influence on the creativity development but had positive influence on the development of emotional intelligence. 2. The children’s gender had no influence on both the creativity and the emotional intelligence. 3. The creativity and the emotional intelligence had no correlations with the children in the first year. But in the second year, the creativity and the emotional intelligence had no correlations for boys, however there were correlations with girls. These results will guide the education of the creativity and the emotional intelligence in kindergarten partly.
