The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of anti-bias curriculum through the literature approach on the development of five-year-old child’s self concept. There were the following questions to accomplish above the purpose. First, what was the effect of the anti-bias curriculum on the child’s self concept? Second, what was the effect of the anti-bias curriculum on the difference between boys and girls? In this study, we used the inspection instrument of Jeong won sik’s standardization self concept by amending it appropriately for this study. For the testing the development of child’s self concept, the experimental group was executed a anti-bias curriculum through literature approach during the eight weeks with related to ‘3C theory’. on the contrary, the control group only listened to the storybooks under the other same conditions. To the results of this study, the experimental group scored higher points than the control group in the field of child’s self concept consisted of ability, body, family, and society. Otherwise, there was not difference between boys and girls.
