The propose of this study was to investigate the effects of beliefs regarding Developmentally Appropriate Practice(DAP), on which parents and teacher agree or disagree, on young children’s life satisfaction and depression. Subjects were 145 kindergarten children, their parents and their teachers. Total subjects were 145 triplets(child-parents-teacher). The DAP beliefs of parent were assessed with PBRECE(parents’ belief regarding early childhood education), and those of teacher were assessed with TBS(teacher belief scale). Children were assessed with MLSSC(the multiple life satisfaction scale for children) and CDI(Children’s Depression Inventory) This study generated the following two hypothesis. 1. Children whose parent and teacher are agree with DAP beliefs would achieve higher scores in the MLSSC test than children whose parent and teacher are disagree with. 2. Children whose parent and teacher agree with DAP beliefs would achieve lower scores in the CDI test than children whose parent and teacher are disagree with. The main findings were summarized as follows. First, children whose parents and teacher agreed with DAP beliefs are achieved statistically significant higher scores in the MLSSC. Second, children whose parents and teacher agreed with DAP beliefs are achieved statistically significant lower scores in the CDI. The results of this study suggested the fact that the agreement parents’ and teachers’ DAP belief were brought to the positive effect of children’s overall life satisfaction. However, in case that in disagreement with DAP beliefs between teachers and parents, children have a tendency of depression disposition. Results indicate that congruence DAP belief between teachers and parents should have positive effect on children’s emotional development.
