다중지능이론의 영재교육에의 적용|RISS 상세보기

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구의 목적은 보다 많은 잠재적인 영재들의 발굴과 육성을 위한 적절한 교육과정 개발 요구에 따라, 다중지능이론을 이용한 효과적인 영재교육 프로그램의 운영에 대해 살펴보고자 하는데 있다. 이를 위해 다중지능이론에 대한 설명과 아울러 이 이론이 교육현장에서 어떻게 적용되며, 교육적으로 어떠한 효과를 이루어 왔는지를 알아보았다. 다중지능이론에 의한 영재의 정의와 DISCOVER프로그램에 대한 고찰을 통해 다중지능 영재프로그램이 소외계층의 아이들도 영재로 선발하고, 학습의 중심에 놓인 영재아들이 적극적으로 학습활동에 참여하여 문제를 해결해 나감을 알 수 있었다. 한국의 영재교육에 대한 다중지능이론의 적용가능성을 알아보기 위해, 학습활동의 관찰에 의한 영재의 판별, 문제해결 중심의 교육과정, 학습활동 중에 실시되는 다양한 학습 평가 방안에 관해 논의하였다. 이러한 고찰을 통하여 다중지능이론은 다원화된 현대사회가 요구하는 진정한 영재를 육성하는데 기여할 것으로 보인다.
