This article explores the possibilities of the spiritual approach to social work practice. First, the work lists the various concepts of spirituality. Then it suggests the necessity of linking the two, spirituality and social work practice. third, it explains the relationship of these two biblically, theologically and historically. finally, this article examines the practical implications of spiritual approaches to social work practice in the context of micro and macro involvement. Micro involvement treats the spiritual approaches to the direct work with the clients such as engagement, assessment, questioning, active listening. using simple tools for conversation, etc. Macro involvement refers creating the spiritual circumstances for the use of spiritual approach methodologies to the social work practice. The macro involvement includes theological framing of social service, suggesting spiritual models, campaigning prayer for others, activating the social ministry, developing social ministry curriculums in the church education, and setting spiritual policies in the social work process.
