농어촌지역 학교의 교직문화 연구

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to describe the teaching profession culture of teachers who were
served in rural middle schools. In order to pursue the study purpose, a review of literature and an
ethnographical interviews were made with 12 teachers who had served in rural middle schools.
The findings of the study were as follows;
First, teachers who were served in rural middle schools arranged their actual aim to move into the
urban school.
Second, teachers who were served in rural middle schools formed the collective-cooperative school
climates.
Third, schoolmasters who were served in rural middle schools were authoritative, but teachers
didn't resist their authorities.
Fourth, teachers who were served in rural middle schools experienced conflicts between the
idealistic view and the realistic view of teaching profession. Teachers' view of idealistic teaching
profession was transformed with their service area.
Fifth, teachers who were served in rural middle schools emphasized the guidance rather than the
instruction.
Sixth, the relationship between teachers and students was more friendly and informal in rural
middle school than that of the urban middle schools.
Seventh, the relationship between teachers and parents was more friendly and informal in rural
middle school than that of the urban middle schools.
Eighth, teachers who were commute from urban home to rural school were an alien and outsider
in home and school.
