The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends about portfolio assessment in early childhood education and to suggest teacher s guidelines for using portfolio. The following 7 prepositions are suggested to carry out the study.
1. Teachers should plan aim of portfolio assessment.
2. When decide aim of portfolio, teachers should collect the data by valid method.
3. Teachers should record the observation result with label.
4. Teachers should involve self -reflective contents to data.
5. Teachers should set a portfolio assessment criterion and rubric for data.
6. Teachers should decide how to keep the data for portfolio.
7. Teachers must integrate teaching-assessment about portfolio to make a teaching better.
