대안학교 학생의 사회적지지에 관한 연구 = A Social Support between the Students of the Alternative and Regular High Schools

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to compare the social support of the students of the alternative high schools with those of the regular high schools. Total 1,060 students(739 from four academic or industrial high schools in Gyeungju city, 321 from seven alternative high school through the country) were used for this study. The Social Support Scale(Shim, 2002) was administered to all subjects to measure the dependent variables. The reliability(Cronbach alpha) of The Social Support Scale showed from .93 to .95. And the correlations among the elements of the scale were more than .80. The results obtained from this study are as follow. Most of all, the mean of three subscales of the social support(information, material, emotion) of the alternative school students were significantly higher than those of the regular schools. A noticeable result was found in this study, the teachers' social support for their students in the alternative schools was significantly stronger in comparison with those of the regular schools. These findings of this study were not congruent with the negative attitude to the students in the alternative school in general. There are several implications of this study. The psychological characteristics of the alternative schools are more positive than the expectation from people in general. Further studies are suggested to investigate the nature of the alterative schools as well as to develop a school system and curriculum for the students in the school.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구에서는 대안학교 학생들의 사회적 지지의 정도를 확인하기 위해 일반계 고등학생들과의 비교를 실시하였다. 조사대상은 경주지역 인문, 실업계 고등학교와 전국 재적응 대안학교 학생이었다. 사회적 지지 척도를 사용한 결과에서, 대안학교 학생들이 사회적 지지를 더 높게 지각하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 특히, 대안학교 학생들의 경우 교사에 대한 사회적 지지가 더욱 높게 나타나 일반학교에 비해 대안학교의 학생과 교사간의 보다 많은 상호작용을 시사해주고 있다. 따라서, 재적응 대안학교의 긍정적인 기능을 인정하고 그릇된 사회적 통념과 왜곡된 지각은 수정되어야 할 것이다.
