대학생의 정신건강과 진로태도성숙 및 진로준비행동과의 관계 = A Study on the Relation Between Mental Health, Career Attitude Maturity, and Career Preparation Behavior of the University Students

The purpose of this study is to find out the relations between the mental health as a psychological variable, career attitude maturity, and career preparation behavior in preparing and choosing their own career of the university students. And it is also to inquire the differences between career attitude maturity and career preparation behavior by sex, grade, academic division of students.
To attain this purpose, this study collects and analysis the data from 329(Men:161, Women:168) students at W university in Jeon-buk province. The used scales in this study were Symptom Check List(SCL-90) by Kim, Kwang-il and others and Maturity Test on Career Attitude by Lee, Ki-hak and others and the Test on Career Preparation Behavior by Kim, Bong-han. The statistical methods were used t-test, F-test, and Scheffe test.
The results of this study are as follows.
First, the mental health and career attitude maturity was related with the deciding nature as sub-variable while was not related with the reality and preparation. The mental health and career preparation behavior did not show a meaningful relation.
Second, by grades and academic division, the career attitude maturity and career preparation behavior was not related.
Third, the career attitude maturity by grades was related with the preparation nature as sub-variable. That is, junior and senior were higher than the others and freshmen were the highest. Senior students were the highest, freshmen and sophomore were lower than the others in the career preparation behavior by grade.
Fourth, the preparation nature as a sub-variable of women was higher than that of men to the career attitude maturity by sex. So it can be said that women above men spend their time and vigorously collect a necessary information for choosing and deciding their career. But in preparing their career preparation behavior of men and women were no difference.
Fifth, on the mental health by academic division, grade, and sex, the group of men who is in a healthful group was higher than that of the group of women. Women is higher than that of men in the risk and unhealthful group. But the mental health by grade and academic division were no difference.
