어머니의 우울, 양육스트레스와 아동의 행동문제와의 관계 = The Relations Between Mothers' Depression, Parenting Stress and Children's Behavior Problems

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 어머니의 우울 및 양육스트레스와 아동의 행동문제와의 관계를 살펴보고, 어머니의 우울, 양육스트레스가 아동의 행동문제에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지를 밝히려는데 있다. 연구대상은 서울시와 경기도에 위치한 3곳의 초등학교 4, 5학년 아동의 어머니들로 338명이 참여하였으며 이들에게 우울을 측정하기 위해 BDI, 양육스트레스를 측정하기 위해 PSI, 아동의 행동문제를 측정하기 위해 K-CBCL을 재구성한 척도을 사용하였다. 연구의 결과를 살펴보면 다음과 같다.
첫째, 어머니의 우울과 양육스트레스는 아동의 행동문제와 유의미한 정적 상관이 있었다. 양육스트레스의 하위요인인 일상적 스트레스, 자녀의 기질과 관련된 스트레스, 자녀와의 관계로 인한 스트레스, 학습기대와 관련된 스트레스에서 모두 아동의 행동문제와 유의미한 정적 상관이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 어머니의 우울은 아동의 행동문제를 유의미하게 설명해 주는 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 어머니의 양육스트레스는 아동의 행동문제에 유의미한 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 어머니의 우울과 양육스트레스는 아동의 행동문제에 영향을 미친 것으로 나타났는데 그 중 어머니의 양육스트레스가 아동의 행동문제를 가장 유의하게 설명해 주었다. 양육스트레스의 하위요인 중 자녀의 기질과 관련된 스트레스, 자녀와의 관계로 인한 스트레스, 학습기대와 관련된 스트레스가 아동의 행동문제를 유의하게 설명해 주었다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relations between mothers' depression, parenting stress and children's behavior problems. The subject for this study was 338 mothers having elementary students(from 4th to 5th grade) in Seoul city and Kyeonggi-do. Scales used for this study were BDI(Beck Depression Instrument), PSI(Parenting Stress Index) and CBCL (Child Behavior Checklist).
The main results of this study are as follows.
First, there are significantly positive correlations between mothers' depression, parenting stress and children's behavior problems. And children's behavior problems and sub-elements of parenting stress indicated a positive static correlation.
Second, it has turned out that mothers' depression has significant influence on children's behavior problems.
Third, it has turned out that mothers' parenting stress has significant influence on children's behavior problems, too.
Finally, mothers' depression and parenting stress have effects on children's behavior problems. However, out of two, mothers' parenting stress is a more important factor on children's behavior problems.
In conclusion this study has found that there are two major factors, which have influence on children's behavior problems. One is a mothers' depression and the other is a mothers' parenting stress. Especially mothers' parenting stress has relatively important factor on children's behavior problems.
In other words, the more mothers suffer from parenting stress related to temperament, relationship and learning expectation, the more behavior problems their children get.
