우수보육교사(3급) 양성을 위한 보육교사 교육원의 운영개선방안 = Enhancing the operation of day-care teater education institutes, for the purpose of producing qualified day-care teachers(3rd grade)

The aim of this study is to improve the operation of day-care teacher education institutes, in accordance with the revised law on nursery care for babies, by identifying the legal basis, related systems, and status quo, and by considering 1) the education system for 3rd grade day-care teachers on the basis of the laws and regulations, 2) standards on the operation of day-care teacher education institutes, 3) problems and solutions which are discovered and proposed in the past researches, in connection with day-care teacher training courses.
The proposition includes;
1. Strengthening the training course by increasing from 800 hrs of theory course and 200hrs of practice course at least to 1,000hrs of theory and 200hrs or practice.
2. Introducing the comprehensive Improvement and Accreditation System for day-care teacher education institutes.
3. Refreshing the entire training course from recruiting to educating and qualifying the trainees.
4. Readjusting the tuition fees to market price or lifting the related regulations.
5. Establishing a new certification system for after-school day-care teachers.
