The purpose of this study was to investigate the meaning of making a teacher portfolio to help preschool teachers improve their professionalism. Three teachers participated in this study for 10 weeks. In the course of making the teacher portfolio, what could improve the professionalism of teachers was identified by examining the materials of in-depth interviews and participant observation, their reflective journals and conference records among their colleagues.
As a result, the factors to enhance their qualifications were building positive pride and beliefs in teaching profession, active coping with class situations, reflective thinking, ceaseless efforts for the acquisition of better ability, and creating cooperative culture among teachers.
