This paper attempts to explore the influences of demographic, premarital and variables on the degree of marital inconsistency (MI) & the degree of subjective happiness of marital relationship (SH).
The data, collected from 362 couples living in Pusan, is analyzed by statistical methods, such as Pearson's Correlation, One-Way ANOVA and Multiple Regression Analysis.
The major findings are as follows :
1. Husband : The influential variable on MI is family problem items.
Wife : The influential variables on MI are wife's job and family problem items.
2. The higher the subjective happiness, the higher the Dyadic Adjustment Scale (D. A. S).
3. The influential variables on SH are as follows.
1) When is the high of SH,
Husband : The influential variable is family monthly income.
Wife : The influential variables are wife's educational level, premarital life level, marital happiness of parent-in-law and family problem items.
2) When is the middle of SH,
Husband : The influential variables are husband's job (-), family problem items (-) and marital happiness of parent-in-law.
Wife : The influential variable is "affection to parent when was young."
3) When is the low of SH, the influential variable is not (Husband & Wife).
