This Study was designed to identify the correlation among family support, self-esteem and depression in elderly. Those who participate in the house for elderly(Kung Ro Dang) located in Yuseong Gu and others 4 gu in Daejon Korea were interviewed by researcher. The Study method used was structured questionnaire and the data were collected clustered random sampling from May 1 to May 31, 2001. Subjects were 164 elderlys in elderly designed by Beck depression Inventory, the family support scale designed by O.K Yang and the self-esteem designed by Rosenberg. Data analysis included : percentage, average, S.D, t-test, ANOVA, Pearson Correlation Coefficiency. The results of the analysis follows; 1. There was a significant relation between family support and self-esteem(r=0.498, P<0.000). 2. There was a significant between family support and depression(r=-0.450, P<0.000). 3. There was a significant between self-esteem and depression(r=-0.489, P<0.000).
