The study is to search the relationships and differences of the levels of stress, depress, and family coherence of the parents with disabled children. The subjects of this study were the 636 parents with disabled children who were engaged in special school.
The results of this study showed significant positive relationships among the stress, depress, and family coherence. The results in the levels of stresses of the parents showed significant differences. The fathers showed significant differences in the factors of ‘future of the child’, ‘daily caring’, and ‘relations among family members’. In the case of the mothers group, they showed the differences according to the ages of their child related to ‘daily caring’ specially high stress levels with the young age group (age of 7~10). But generally there were no significant differences in depress and family coherence according to the ages of their child.
