유아의 완전통합교육 실현가능성에 대한 고찰 = A Study on the Implementation and Impact of Early Childhood Inclusion

In this study, the implementation and impact of inclusive education is reviewed. The literature review providcs a comprehensive overview of theory and research as it relates topractice of early childhood inclusion.
The purpose of this research organized into three research problems. The first presents the historical evolution of inclusion. Thc history of inclusion provides the reader with information pertaining to the oiigins of inclusion, the defmition of inclusion.
The second is the inclusion initiative within the field of early childhood education. This include the inclusion debate, and current practices of inclusion between early childhood education and early childhood special education.The final examines the impact of inclusion on the social development of children without and with disabilities.As efforts to fully include children with disabilities grow, it is important to recognize the potential impact that placing these children in the regular classroom has on children without identified disabilities.
Reconmiendations and implications for early childhood inclusion in Korea are includcd.

국문 초록 (Abstract)

이 연구에서는 관련연구의 고찰을 통해 완전통합교육(inclusive education)이 유아교육에 끼친 영향을 미국의 유아교육과 유아특수교육 분야 간의 논쟁을 중심으로 검토하여, 우리나라 유아교육의 실제에 도움이 되는 완전통합교육의 교육적 함의를 고찰하는데 그 목적이 있다. 구체적으로는 첫째, 완전통합교육의 역사적 발전을 기술한다; 툴째, 완전통합교육에 대한 유아교육과 유아특수교육의 공통주제를 밝힌다; 셋째, 완전통합교육 환경이 모든 유아의 발달에 미친 영향을 탐색한다. 결론적으로, 유아의 완전통합교육을 실현하기 위해서는 장애유아 뿐만 아니라 모든 유아들이 필요로 하는 발달적 교육적 요구에 알맞은 지원을 제공해야 하며, 이를 위해서는 유아교육과 유아특수교육 두 분야간의 공동 노력의 중요성이 강조되었고. 한국에서도 유아의 완전통합교육과 관련한 현장성 있는 연구결과들이 도출되어야 할 필요성이 제언되었다.
