The purpose of this study was to investigate the differences in the child care between kindergartners` parents in both Korea and Japan whose cultural and social background was different from each other. The subjects of this study consisted of 263 parents of kindergartners in the $quot;Y$quot; Kindergarten of Korea and 287 parents of kindergarteners in the $quot;K$quot; Kindergarten of Japan. As the research instrument, this study used as the measuring instrument the questionnaire used by the study of Nomura Zikeiko`s (1997), the professor of the department of children education in Kihu Education College of Japan. In order to inquire into the differences in the child care between kindergarteners` parents in both Korea and Japan, this study selected only the 8 items corresponding to the issues of this study, of 13 total items used in her study, and made a comparison of them between Korea and Japan by computing frequency and percentage by item. The findings were obtained as follows: First, it was found that there was a difference on the value view of child care between kindergarteners` parents in both Korea and Japan. Second, it was found that there was a difference on the child care methed between kindergarteners` parents in both Korea and Japan.
