    In Namhan and Nakdong drainage basin, river terraces are widely distributed. Height above riverbed of river terrace is the difference of altitude between the bed of past- and present-graded state in the fluvial system, and reflects the geomorphic processes which revive the stream`s downward erosive force and shape terrace landforms. Thus as analysing the relationship between height above riverbed of river terrace and the distance from the upwarping axis belt, I define the crustal movement type of Taebaek mountain range. ① Heights above riverbed of river terraces distributed in Namhan and Nakdong drainage basin increase upstream. ② High terraces in Nakdong drainage basin reflect the crustal movement type which uplift rate in the upwarping axis belt is comparatively greater than periphery. ③ The crustal movement type of Taebaek mountain range is that the range of 30㎞ around upwarping axis uplift rapidly and its periphery uplift slowly. ④ Low terraces seem to be not effected by upwarping of Taebaek mountain range.
