    This study delineates specific structural patterns of kindergarten teachers` self image. The subjects were 31 kindergarten teachers in the city of Taejeon. Q-methodology was employed in this research. The results reveal three different types of self image: 1) teachers perceive themselves as knowledgeable in their profession but derive little satisfaction from their work; 2) teachers perceive themselves as not knowledgeable in their profession and also derive little satisfaction from their work; 3) teachers perceive themselves as knowledgeable in their profession and derive high satisfaction from their work.
