The purpose of this study is to test the effect of self-regulated learning strategy training on mathematical word problem performance in relation to level of self-efficacy. The subjects were 80 sixth grade elementary school. Based on the level of their self-efficacy score, high level 25% subjects and low level 25% were selected in self-efficacy separately. And they were assigned to experimental group and control group separately. Therefore, final selected subjects were experimental group: 9, control group: 10 at the low level of self-efficacy and experimental group: 10, control group: 9 at the high level of self-efficacy. A dependent variables are score and reversal error rate of a mathematical word problem solving score. A independent variable is training of self-regulated learning strategy in relation to level of self-efficacy. To test the hypotheses of this study were applied to 2×2 ANCOVA and one way ANOVA. Main findings of this study were as follows: 1. The training group of self-regulated learning strategy with high level of self-efficacy did solve more mathematical word problem than those with low level of self-efficacy. 2. The training group of self-regulated learning strategy with high level of self-efficacy did get less error rate of mathematical word problem than those with low level of self-efficacy. It was suggested that self-regulated learning strategy training in relation to self-efficacy level were applied to solve a mathematical word problems effectively.
