    This study has been performed to analyze general perception of rural area college students on the aged. In this study, it was observed that students perceive the elderly positively in general, which is somewhat contrasting to negative view of those in metropolitan areas. Particularly, it is noticeable that male students, students whose parents are occupationally unsecure and without religion, and students living without grandparent perceive the aged more positively than the counterparts. Overall in this study, it is proposed that education for evaluating the image be intensified more onto metropolitan areas than rural areas. Moreover, it is also proposed that female students of secure income families living with an elderly parent be the primary target group for the education.
