This study had two purposes. One was to find out the current status of school violence and the other was to examine the relative importance of the factors related to school violence. The subjects in this study were 548 middle and high school students in Seoul and Kyunggi-Do area. The results indicated that the percentage of the students who had experience to be victimized by others was 61.8% and the percentage of the students who had experience to victimize others was 68.2%. The school violence was predicted, in order of importance, by the delinquency level of peers, frequency of school violence experience, faithfulness of school life, hope for their future, tendency of impulsive behavior, exposure of media violence, family related factor. Of all, the presence of delinquent peers was the most important factor in predicting school violence.
