No author or teacher can teach someone else how to be creative or how to find inspiration. However, technique and a professional approach to the creative form can be taught. The way a screenplay is put together is technique and can be learned. A screenplay is simply a blueprint for making a film. The word 'playwright' has a particular significance in relation to this when one remembers that 'wright' means "one who works, makes, or constructs." A script is made. It is put together with parts. The making of a script involves the selection and ordering of scenes in the most effective way.
In this study, I tries to explore basic structural elements (conflict, structure-plot, and character) for the well-made drama(classical Hollywood style film). I lean heavily on Aristotle's <Poetics>, the best single analysis of what a play is. From Aristotle's time to our own, dramatic structure has remained basically the same.
While a good script does not necessarily make a good film, it is absolutely true that no great film was ever made from a bad script.
