저소득층 청소년 초기 자녀에 대한 어머니의 감독지식 근원에 관한 연구 = Mothers` Monitoring Knowledge Sources of Early Adolescents in Low Income Families

The purpose of this study was to give basic information for better understanding of parental monitoring sources related to early adolescents` adjustment. The subjects were 459 first year middle schoolers(223 boys, 236 girls) from low income families. The results showed that 1) mothers had meaningful relationships with their children and mothers and children and general knowledge of each other, 2) mother`s solicitation was affected by parenting behavior variables, behavior control and emotional support, and family size, and 3) child`s disclosure was affected by children`s regulation abilities as well as mothers` educational level and parenting behaviors. Some suggestions were considered to raise the level of the knowledge sources for the early adolescence children from low income families.
