Wonjo kyoje literally means that a middle aged or older man helps a young teenage girl by providing financial aid in return for having sex. By using this term, however, girls involved don`t feel guilty because the meaning puts more stress on aid or relationship than sex. as many scholars and groups argue. Through online chatting, some teenage girls look for men who will pay 100,000 to 200,000 won for sex. With the money, the girls reportedly buy mobile phones, cosmetics or go to discotheques. The purpose of this study is to suggest the counter measures of sex trade with the girls in Korea. Adult sex offenders will face the harshest- ever punishment possible in a society that places high importance on saving face and honor. The violators` identities will be disclosed to the public. Various means will be mobilized, including government publications and home pages, to make public the names of those accused. Conclusionally, This study argues that the government should reconfirm its strong stance on eradicating juvenile prostitution in Korea by enforcement of law. At the same time, our society should make more efforts to guide these young girls those engaging in wonjo kyoje to the right path. The fight should go on until the practice of adult men having sex with teens is uprooted.
