This study was intended to figure out major influential factors on the turnover intention of kindergarten teachers in Korea. Survey questionnaire was composed of 98 questions asking of six possible influencing variables; job attitude, job environment, quality of program, turnover intention, perception of alternative occupations, and general characteristics of subjects. Data of 535 kindergarten teachers were analyzed by discriminant analysis. The results identified the degree of teacher`s commitment to organization, burnout, and job satisfaction as the most highly influential factors on kindergarten teachers` turnover intention. Then, compensation, working hours, support of director, participation in decision-making, program quality, affirmative view of life, and perception of alternative occupations were identified as influential. The results of this study were discussed to suggest several specific implications to reduce turnover intention among kindergarten teachers.
