The purposes of this study were 1) to investigate the difference of playfulness, and personal characteristics, of play therapists from that of general adults, 2) to analyze the relation of playfulness and a career to an attitude, knowledge, and skills in the play therapy. The subjects of this study were 46 play therapists who had experienced over one case of the play therapy and 165 adults over 18 years old. The research instruments included the modified PSA(Playfulness Scale for Adults)and the modified PTAKSS(Play Therapy Attitude- Knowledge-Skills Survey). The data were analyzed by percentiles and multiple regression analysis. The findings of this study were as follows: Playfulness of therapist was disclosed as high informal, compared to that of general adults. There were no differences in playfulness of therapists by career in play therapy. There were no differences in an attitude by career, whereas there were meaningful differences in knowledge and skills by it. The most predictable variable on an attitude was fun-loving, while there were no predictable variables on knowledge and skills.
