[범세계화와 문화 변동] 다문화주의의 이론적 체계

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

This paper aims to set up the theoretical system of the multiculturalism which functioned as a theory of national integration, cultural education, and coexistent system. The conflicts between communities such as national-states, ethnic groups, civil communities, and corporate communities, which often occurred in the modern society. In the process of the modernization and economic growth, multiculturialism appeared as the strategy to resolve the social conflicts in Canada, Australia, and Western countries. But the system of multiculturalism is confusing by its various meanings and situations. As a consequence, the multiculturalism consisted of the liberal pluralist approach, the corporate pluralist approach, the radical pluralist approach, the ethnic federalism pluralist approach, and the secessionist / separationist pluralist approach. Its goals are facts that resolve the divergence between minority and majority, correctly recognize difference between the core society and the periphery society, ultimately remove discrimination in the political and economic spheres. The policies of the multiculturalism included multiculturalization, multiinstitutionalization, multisocialization, and multiequalization. To support common equality in modern society, the multiculturalism must be practiced in the cultural stage as well as the social, economic, and political stage.
