    This study surveyed about improvement of vocational education in Korea. The survey was administered to the principals and vocational education directors of 100 high schools. The schools are one national, 69 public, and 30 private technical high schools. The questionnair consists of 22 items and the returned rate of the survey was 69.6%. The conclusion of the study is that the technical high school education should be an initial vocational education instead of terminal education in the process of continuous education. Furthermore, administration and financial support is necessary for the vocational education and should place less emphasis on employment of a new operating system.
