The main purpose of this study is to develop test items on self-regulated learning for elementary school students. In order to achieve the research purpose, the concept of self-regulated learning was defined and key essential self-regulated learning were categorized into three factors, based on the results of reviewing many literatures on self-regulated learning and pre-existing commercially available tests on self-regulated learning. It is hypothesized that self-regulated learning is composed of three essential factors; motivation regulation, cognition regulation, and behavior regulation. First of all, 135 items for preliminary test were performed with 316 students in Seoul and local districts. Test results were analysed to draw implications for the development of main test. After exploratory factor analysis, total items were reduced into 75 items. The reliability coefficients of self-regulated learning test was adequate(.751). 1,144 students were sampled for main test in Seoul and local districts. After confirmatory factor analysis, 5 items were excluded because their reliability was too low. 70 items were valid in the end. As a result, this study was developed 70 items composed of 9 factors as self-regulated learning.
