The purpose of this study was to explore an influence of empowerment on job satisfaction and Organizational commitment.
Data were collected through questionnaires from 139 secretaries from August 1, 2002 to August 14, 2002. The research data were analyzed using SPSS PC+ programs.
The results of the study are summarized as follows. Empowerment influenced job satisfaction and organizational commitment. Among the empowerment factors, meaning, competence, and impact were significant factors that influenced job satisfaction. And among the empowerment factors, competence and self-determination were significant factors that influenced organizational commitment.
