종합 학교상담 프로그램의 초등학교 적용에 관한 연구 : A Comprehensive School Counseling Program at an Elementary School = A Study on the Application of

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구의 목적은 미국의 초등학교에서 학교상담 활동을 위해 보편적으로 사용되고 있는 '종합 학교상담 프로그램'을 한국의 초등학교에 적용해 보고 그 적용 가능성과 한계점 및 그에 따른 해결방안을 제시하고자 하였다. '종합 학교상담'에 관한 모델 3가지를 소개하였으며 그 중에서 가장 종합적이며 최근의 이론인 '학교상담 프로그램을 위한 국가 모델'(미국상담교사협회, 2002)에 기초하여 종합 학교상담의 특징을 영역별로 살펴보았다.
'국가모델'은 학교상담을 기초제체와 수행체제, 그리고 관리체제와 책임체제의 4가지로 나누어 설명한다. 본 연구자는 본교에서 실시한 다양한 학교상담 활동을 이 4가지 영역에 맞추어 설명하였다. 이에 따라 본 연구자는 학교 상담활동의 기반이 되는 기초체제와 상담활동의 실제적 내용이 되는 수행체제에 대한 다양한 적용 사례를 소개하였다. 이를 위해, 상담교육과정의 학년별 프로그램안을 제시하였고 개별학생 계획을 위한 두 가지 심리검사의 적용사례를 소개하였다. 특히 본 연구자가 실시한 집단상담 프로그램 5개를 소개하였고 그 중 4개의 프로그램에 대한 효과검증을 실시하였다. 이와 같은 상담활동이 원활히 진행되도록 돕는 관리체제의 예로 상담교육과정 실행계획과 자료 활용을 소개하였고 전체적인 학교상담의 효과를 위한 책임체제의 사례를 설명하였다.
또한 종합 학교상담 프로그램을 한국의 교육 현장에 적응하는데 있어서 생기는 제한점과 문제점을 제시하였고 이러한 문제점을 해결하기 위한 대응방안을 모색하였다. 이와 같이, 본 연구는 학교 상담의 필요성이 제기되고 있는 현 시점에서 향후 학교상담이 효과적으로 전개될 수 있도록 학교 상담의 이론적 틀을 살펴보고 적용사례를 중심으로 문제점과 대응방안을 살펴보았다.

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

The purpose of this study was to apply a 'Comprehensive School Counseling Program' to a Korean elementary school ' it has been applied widely in American elementary schools. This is also a study to find some possibilities and limits, and to suggest alternative proposals.
Three models on comprehensive School counseling were introduced. This study choice, a 'national Model for School Counseling program' which is the most recent and comprehensive model out of these three models to explain the concept of comprehensive school counseling.
The 'National Model' is composed of four elements, which are Foundation, Delivery system. management system and Accountability.
This Study tried to explain a variety of school counseling programs, which were applied by the researcher in terms of the four elements of the 'National Model'. In this study, various applications in Foundation and Delivery system were introduced, for example, counseling programs based on a counseling curriculum were suggested in different programs based on a counseling curriculum were suggested in different grade levels, and two psychological tests were suggested for individual student planning. In particular, five group counseling programs were suggested and four of them were analyzed to show the effectiveness of the programs. In addition, an action plan of school counseling program and the use of data were suggested for a Management system and Accountability.
This study came up with some alternative proposals to overcome expected problems and limits in the process of applying the Comprehensive School counseling Program to a Korean school.
As seen above this study was to explain the Comprehensive School Counseling in terms of the 'national Model', and to show a variety of applications of the school counseling programs. I expect this study will contribute to the development of school counseling in Korea for the future.
