훈민정음의 언어철학적 분석 = A Linguistico - Philosophical Analysis of Hunminchongum

다국어 초록 (Multilingual Abstract)

<Abstract>The character and Phonological SYSTEM of Hun-min-jeong-eum were based on the dual principles of phonetics and Oriental Philosophy.Oriental Philosophy was not only Orientals' view of universe but also their view of nature. Oriental philosophy might be also recognized as the distinctive feature of Hun-min-jeong-eum because the formation of sounds and characters could be explained by its three basic elements : namely. Tae-geuk, Eum-yang and 0-heng, Phonetics and Oriental Philosophy, therefore, should be considered not as two separable principles but as two different ways of explanation for an understanding of Hun-min-jeong-eum.Modern linguistic concepts of opposition, distinctive feature, articulatory phonetics and internal structure of syllable might be used for the analysis of Hun-min-jeong-eum.In short, the explanation for Hun-min-jeong-eum by means of Oriental Philosophy in harmony with phonetics is not an excrescence but an essential distinctive feature for an understanding of Hun-min-jeong-eum.
