This study is aimed to evaluate the effects of career exploration program on career decision level and identity of college students. Main activities of the program was consisted of 8 weeks sessions. Equivalent control group pretest-posttest design was employed for this study. 38 college students voluntarily participated in the group counseling of career exploration. Another 20 students were selected for the control group of this study design. Career Decision Scale(19 items) and Career Identity Scale(18 items) were administered to both of the experimental and the control groups before and after the 8 weeks treatments.
The differences of posttest scores and pretest scores of the experimental group in both of Career Decision Scale and Career Identity Scale were compared with the those of control group in two scales. The results of the comparison showed that the differences(program effects) of experimental group in both scales were higher than those of control group. In conclusion, the career exploration program had significant effects on the career decision and identity of college students.
