Recently, Many career counseling researchers recommend career barriers constructs as important variable of women's career choice and decision making and request the need to study. Especially, in Korea, women should have many structural constraints and occupational barriers. This career barriers make the occupational choice and career decision making more complicated and difficult. Therefore, Women's vocational behaviors couldn't be interpreted and understood in psychological perspectives only. Sociological perspectives as well as psychological perspectives are needed, too. Career barriers variable is one of the contextual and environmental factors and introduction of this variable will visualize the real vocational world of women more concretely. This article is the base research to study the relations of women's career barriers perception and career decision making. To do so, first, the spectrums of career barriers women experience are recognized and second, the relations of career barriers and career choices of women are reviewed from the theoretical perspectives and the empirical aspects, also. Third, methodological problems of career barriers mesurements and limitations of career barriers researches are highlighted. Finally, future research necessities, meanings, and implications are discussed.
