Teaching is human relationship between children and teachers. It is necessary that teachers have the time to explore and define the many facet of their personalities. The development of self-awareness by the teacher must be a self-initiated process.
The identification of ego states(structural analysis) provides a useful tool for understanding behavior in teaching settings. The teacher uses the egogram to get a clearer picture of the various ego states in her(him)self, children and the total ward. Transactional Analysis provides a conceptual framework in which to understand human behavior and human communication. In many teaching situation, the teacher can apply her(him) understanding of ego states, TA strokes, time structure, basic life position and scripts.
This study analyzed the ego states of kindergarten teachers to gain understanding of the predominant ego states of kindergarter teachers. The subjects was consisting of 319 teachers, all working in chollabuk-do. The instrument used for this study was egogram questionnaire developed by Tokyo University, Japan. Analysis of the data was done by use of SPSS/PC+.
The results of the study was as follow;
1. Nurturing Parent type was predominant ego state of teachers.
2. Egogram was represented significant difference by age, religion, career.

1) Critical parent was represented significantly high the group of old age, the group of many experienced
2) Free Child was represented significantly low the group of old age.
3) Adult ego state revealed the significantly high the group of old age.
