    This study was devised to research the changes on marital adjustment over the family life cycle(FLC).
    Marital Adjustment Scales were composed of three subfactors such as Consensus, Sexual intimacy and Satisfaction with the marriage and mate.
    The number of the subjects were 430, who were living in Pusan and they divided into six stage family life cycle.
    This study was surveyed by Mean scores on marital adjustment and three subfactors and tested by ANOVA for one-way and Pearson correlation.
    The results were as follows:
    1. The changes on marital adjustment over the FLC categories were significant at P=.005
    2. The changes on consensus over the FLC categories were significant at P=.001
    3. The changes of sexual and affectional intimacy over the FLC categories were significant at P=.0001
    4. The changes on satisfaction with the marriage and mate over the FLC categories were significant at P＜.05
    5. There was a highly correlation between marital adjustment and its subfactors at P=.001)
    6. The nature of the trend of marital adjustment over the FLC was a significant orgive
    curvilinear or ∽-shaped mode.
