In this paper, the nature of the idioms was studied for the purpose of this study.
First of all, I, the writer, have given a definition of the idoms, the gramatical umits, as follows; the idioms are linguistic units of the phrasal types and complex lexical items, whose whole meaning of linguistic structure we can not predict by the meaning of every morphemes implied in the linguistic units.
Therefore, the idioms have a different feature from the general phrases and clauses as follows:
1. The idoms can not have the elements of recuring substitute.
2. The idioms can not be substituted the component parts for the contrary meaning of it.
3. The idioms are able to substituted for a word or sememe.
4. The idioms are able to have a special syntactical feature.
5. The idioms are able to have internal expansion in the component parts.
