On the basis of literature and empirical studies on relationships of participation in sport as leisure to satisfaction with sport, job satisfaction and life satisfaction, a model of theoretical constructs was established.
The empirical data were collected from 219 men and women workers in K industrial estate of city by the way of cluster random sampling. This data were analyzed by the covariance structure method using PC-LISREL Ⅵ.
This structural model had a exogenous variable (participation in sport), three endogenous variables (satisfaction with sport, job satisfaction and life satisfaction) and six proposed models concerning them.
Although x²was significantly large (p<.05), x²/df (2.05), goodness of fit index(.955), adjusted goodness of fit index (.915), and root mean square residual (.356) showed that this model was fit to the collected empirical data. Accordingly, this model was determined fit and significant without modifying it.
The measurement model, and factor loadings and measurement errors of measured variables were presented and found statistically fit.
Among six proposed-models, five ones were found statistically significant. Therefore, the conclusions of this study were as follows.
First, the structural model established in this study and the measurement model on measured variables of exogenous and endogenous variables were fit to the empirical data obtained for this study.
Second, the more participation in sport was, the more job satisfaction and life satisfaction were.
Third, the more satisfaction to sport was, the more job satisfaction and life satisfaction were.
Fourth, the more job satisfaction was, the more life satisfaction was.
