사회과에서 교수 내용 지식의 가능성과 한계 : 교실 지식과의 관련성 = The possibility and limitation of pedagogical content knowledge in Social Studies :reletion to classroom knowledge

국문 초록 (Abstract)

본 연구는 최근 사회과 교사의 전문적 자질로서 강조되고 있는 '교수 내용 지식'의 가능성과 한계를 '교실 지식'과의 관련성에서 찾고자하는데 그 목적이 있다. 이를 위해 본 연구에서는 교수 내용 지식을 내용 변환의 측면과 교실 상호 작용의 측면으로 분리하여 이해하고자 하였다. 그 결과 교수 내용 지식은 내용의 창조적 변환이라는 가능성과 소비적 전달로서의 한계를 동시에 보이고 있다. 또한 교실 상호작용의 측면에서 교수 내용 지식은 역동적 상호작용의 가능성과 교실 통제로서의 한계를 동시에 드러내고 있다. 여기서 교수 내용 지식의 한계로 나타나는 부분이 바로 교실 지식과 관련되어진다. 따라서 교수 내용 지식의 가능성과 한계를 올바로 인식하고 더 낳은 교수 내용 지식을 구축하기 위한 토대를 마련하는 일이 사회과연구자들의 과제로 남게 된다.

The purpose of this study was to find the possibility and limitation of 'pedagogical content knowledge', which was being emphasized as a special quality of social studies' teacher, in relation with the 'classroom knowledge'. For that purpose, this study tried to understand pedagogical content knowledge separated into the aspect of content transformation and that of classroom interaction. As the result, pedagogical content knowledge revealed the possibility of creative transformation of content and the limitation of consumptive transmission at the same time. And in the aspect of classroom interaction, it showed the possibility of dynamic interaction and the limitation of classroom management also. The limitations of pedagogical content knowledge here had relation with the classroom knowledge. Therefore it remained as a subject of social studies researchers to realize the possibility and the limitation of pedagogical content knowledge right and to provide the base for construction of better pedagogical content knowledge.
