학교숲의 환경교육적 활용에 대한 연구 = A study on the application of school forest for the environmental education

The purpose of this study is an investigation of school forest for the environmental education. A hypothesis in this study is that the using of a school forest in the environmental education may be result in different outcome according to the teacher`s and student`s perception. In this study, therefore, this study follows three steps analysis: first, finding of the teacher`s and the student`s perceptions for the environmental education and the school forest and findings of problems in the application of school forest for environmental education ; then, finding of the relationship between perceptions of teacher and student and application of school forest for environmental education ; finally, suggestion of more in depth application of school forest for environmental education. Through the above studies, I obtained following results. 1. Many Teachers and students have a high concern about environmental education and agree with importance of the education. However, most repliers on questionnaire don`t have a perception for the application of school forest in order to improve environmental education, and most of them thought that the school forest is for beautiful sight. 2. Teachers and students, who have more concern about environmental education, would like to use the school forest for environmental education and actively participates in the solving the problems for the educational program. Conclusively, through the above results, following plans may require for more active application of school forest for environmental education. For more active application of school forest for environmental education, changes of teacher`s perception on the school forest should be followed and trainings of the teachers appropriate for the educational program are required. In addition, we should recognize the need of place for making of school forest and should throw off the fixed idea that the forest is a large. Through the ideas, we have to apply school forest for environmental education more actively.
