    The purpose of this paper is to refer to the management of kindergarten educational programs on the basis of nationality the results of research on the educational values of folk games and its application methods to kindergarten in korea.
    Main results are as follows.
    1. The educational values of folk games.
    ① Promoting the development of sociality.
    ② Enriching emotional values.
    ③ Helping intellectual developments.
    ④ Helping physical developments.
    ⑤ Helping lingaistic developments.
    2. Utilizing methods of folk games in kindergarten.
    ① Traditional plays, which can be utilized for children, should be selected under considering physical safety, educational values, and appropriateness to children's physical development levels.
    ② According to the distinguished characteristics of selected traditional plays, they are divided into 5 developmental areas
    ③ Classifying the selected traditional plays by stage from easy to difficult each of which is done the concrete contente of teaching.
    ④ Developing and manufacturing materials about selected traditional plays, which can be easily utilized for children.
